Are self-sabotage and self-actualization the same? Are we really anything more than other people’s perceptions? How does one confront reality in a world of personae?
In my movement work, I am interested in examining relationships among individuals, and the impact of these relationships on definitions of identity. How are we defined by our surroundings, our actions, and our communications – especially our failures or discomforts in these realms – and how do we define others? How do we delineate our roles in society, and how does society shape who we are and are not?
Is movement really a function of intellect, and do artist statements really measure anything?
